ABIGAIL GRUBB
Abigail (they/she), is a Harlem-based consultant specializing in non-profit strategy, human resources, operations, and fundraising. With over a decade of experience in the arts and culture sector, they have developed a keen expertise in crafting human-centered, sustainable solutions. Abigail's work actively confronts the prevailing inequities within the philanthropic industry, enabling organizations to be in the best service to their missions and communities. Currently, they are the Interim Managing Director at Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) and part of the CJAM Consulting team. They have worked with organizations across the country such as The Atlantic Theatre Company, Live & In Color, August Wilson House, 651 ARTS, WACO, and many others.
Raised in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in a town off of the Appalachian Trail, Abigail is passionate about utilizing the natural world as a healing and wellness modality, a vision they bring to life with Hike The Good Hike. Beyond their non-profit endeavors, Abigail is an award-winning director and storyteller with a diverse portfolio that spans stage and film. They are also a trained herbalist and Yerbera Curandera, a photographer/videographer, and a proud cat parent to Walter.

MIKE ROSE
Mike (he/him), originally from outside of Philadelphia, brings a diverse set of skills to Hike The Good Hike, with a background as an Executive Assistant and Project Manager across tech, non-profits, and numerous franchises. Currently living in NYC, he seamlessly blends organizational expertise with a love for creativity and creation. A passionate performer and skilled animal trainer, Mike's enthusiasm for the outdoors was ignited by the many last minute, impulse camping trips to Hibernia Park in PA. His favorite “hiking” spots in NYC are Inwood Hill Park, Riverside Park, and Prospect Park. Other off-brand hobbies include Rubik's Cub-ing scuba diving.

ANDREA NEGRETE
Andrea (she/they) is a Chicane creative originally from the borderlands of Tejas and Mexico, now splitting her time between NYC and Los Angeles. With a background in acting, new work development, and social-emotional learning facilitation, she transitioned into freelance graphic design and social media strategy after the pandemic. Andrea utilizes community centered communication strategies and visual art/graphic design to shape both internal and external strategies that resonate with diverse audiences and drive engagement.
As a key consultant for Hike the Good Hike (HTGH), Andrea brings her expertise in community-building, branding, and communication to the organization’s mission. She plays a crucial role in crafting HTGH’s messaging, expanding its reach, and connecting with those who share its focus on mental health advocacy and outdoor exploration. Andrea oversees content creation, manages communications, and supports fundraising campaigns that ensure the continued growth of HTGH’s initiatives.
Grounded in a commitment to community, Andrea focuses on fostering healthy channels of communication and creating spaces where mental health advocacy thrives. Her dedication to building inclusive, community-centered platforms aligns perfectly with HTGH’s mission, making her an invaluable contributor to the organization’s vision of using nature to promote healing and well-being.
